In a move aimed at enhancing transportation access to the community’s more vulnerable residents, Mayor Lumumba introduced an order authorizing the purchase of three 25-Passenger ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible buses for the City’s transportation system, JTRAN. The Mayor Lumbumba assured city residents that his goal is not only meeting the needs of existing JTRAN riders, but attracting potential riders as well; “ I’ve heard council members speak about having routes that fit the needs of our residents and the various places where we want them to go this is the time . If we’re going to make that happen a central part of that is the voice of the residents who currently use JTRAN as well as those potential riders”
